1. Are you open on Saturdays? We perform screening mammograms on the third Saturday of every month between 8:00 am and 11:30 am at our Dowell Springs location. To make an appointment, please call 865-584-0291 or 800-456-8169.

2. Do you have a surgeon at your center?  Yes, we have two dedicated Breast Surgeons at the Knoxville Comprehensive Breast Center. Dr. George Webber and Dr. Aaron Margulies provide the latest concepts in the surgical treatment for breast lesions and cancers.

4. Do you have a mobile unit and does it come to my area?  Yes, we have two of the few Digital Mammography Coaches in the country. To see if we will be in your area, please call our Mobile Coordinator at 865-583-2935.

5. Will I see the doctor today?  If you are here for a diagnostic visit, our Clinical Breast Radiologists will review your physical, ultrasound and mammographic exams, and correlate the findings. You will receive your results from our Breast Health Nurses.

6. Why do I need a referral?  A specialty diagnostic office visit does require a referral from certain medical insurance companies. This visit can include a mammogram, clinical breast exam and if needed an ultrasound or MRI.

7.    Why do I need to pay a co-pay or deductable when my insurance covers a mammogram once a year? Your diagnostic visit is a specialty office visit and covers more than just the mammogram so your co-pay and deductable apply.

8. Can my husband or friend go back with me? Your husband or friend will remain in the main waiting room until after your visit. Then if for any reason you are put into a private room, your husband or friend can join you at your request.
